The Vatican

Created by Lorna Images ©1990-2013 Stampin' Up!®

I created this layout from a challenge at Home and Scrapped.  It was a step by step challenge, where you're told what you will need in advance, but not told how to use everything until each step is complete.  I decided to use lots of Sale-a-Bration products because the colours go so well with the colours on the Swiss Guards' uniforms in the first photo.

I've used the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button pack, the Artisan Embellishments Kit, Lovely Letters and Designer Builder Brads.

Celebrate

Today is the last day of Sale-a-Bration 2013.  After this evening, the exclusive paper, buttons, ribbon, stamps, embossing folder, etc will no longer be available.

I made this card for a colleague whose birthday is coming up.  I've used lots of Sale-a-Bration products including the Feeling Sentimental stamp set, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack.  The paper and ink is Island Indigo.

If you would like to place an order, email me at lorna.casha@gmail.com.  For any orders over $100, you will not be charged postage and handling for today only.  I will be accepting orders until 11pm today.  Hurry!

Easter treats

Created by Lorna Images ©1990-2013 Stampin' Up!®

I made these for the ladies that placed an order during February and March.  They are CASEd from a project by Dee Slater, a demonstrator in the US.  I've stamped images from the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set (only available until Friday).  The bird is from the Bird Builder punch and the bird's wing is the Small Heart punch.  The window was punched using the Scallop Oval punch.  I put some Easter eggs in a cellophane bag (page 161 in the Annual Catalogue) and added some Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon.

Faux Patina

Created by Lorna Images ©1990-2013 Stampin' Up!®

This is one of the cards we made at last month's stamp-a-stack.  It didn't really photograph very well, but we  ran some Crumb Cake ink over the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder using a brayer.  We then ran it through the Big Shot with some Whisper White card stock.  Using a sponge we applied Old Olive and Baja Breeze ink along with some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.  This is called the Faux Patina technique.

The design on the Old Olive card stock was punched using the Scallop Trim Border and the greeting is from Vintage Verses - only available through Sale-a-Bration which finishes on 22 March 2013.

Madison Avenue

Only 2 weeks until the end of Sale-a-Bration.  These beautiful cards all feature Sale-a-Bration items - mainly from the Madison Avenue collection: Madison Avenue Stamp Set, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper and the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack.

All the four cards on Summer Starfruit card stock were part of my stamp-a-stack last month.  They use the DSP and Ribbon and Button pack from Sale-a-Bration, as well as the Silver Glimmer Paper (which looks stunning with this DSP), Pretty Petites stamp set and the coordinating Petite Curly Label Punch.

The card on Tangerine Tango uses Patterned Occasions (also from SAB) and Red Glimmer Paper.

The Rich Razzleberry card uses the Bloomin' Marvelous Stamp Set and the Vine Street Textured Embossing Folder.

Hint:  The smallest flower in the Floral Frames Framelits collection (page 191 in the Annual Catalogue) fits around the flower on the Sycamore Street DSP perfectly - just another co-ordinating pair from Stampin' Up!

Happy Hello

Created by Lorna Images ©1990-2013 Stampin' Up!®

All of the cards above use the Happy Hello Simply Sent Sale-a-Bration kits.  I decided to dress them up a bit more by adding some more embellishments.  The kit comes with 8 base cards, 24 yellow flowers, some Basic Grey Bakers Twine, 8 Basic Grey self adhesive strips and rhinestone basic jewels.  In the top and bottom cards, I added some stamped images from the Feeling Sentimental Sale-a-Bration stamp set.  I also added a Primrose Petals Dahlia and some Primrose Petals card stock to the bottom card, along with a strip of rhinestone basic jewels at the bottom.  The middle card came printed as is (4 of the cards in the kit have "Hello" printed on them).  The card stock is Daffodil Delight and the flower is from the Secret Garden Bundle.

The Happy Hello Simply Sent kit is only available when you spend $100 between now and 22 March.  It comes with everything you need to make 8 cards.  Additional embellishments are entirely up to you.  Either way, this is a great kit for a beginner or for those of us who are time-poor and need to make cards quickly.
