This stunning card was inspired by Andrea Walford. I used the brayer to create the beautiful shades of colour on the front and medium panels. I then used the Circle Framelits to cut the different sized circles and stamped butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in Staz-on Ink. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. Although you can't really see them in the photo, I put three little rhinestones in the centre of each butterfly and one on either side of the greeting.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-70163990607512947802013-08-18T10:23:00.000+10:002013-08-18T10:23:04.870+10:00Strawberry Slush Meadow

The top card was one of the cards we made at my launch party. I stepped it up a bit to give to a friend recently. The colours used are Strawberry Slush and Whisper White. The stamp is the beautiful Wildflower Meadow and it was dry embossed with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder.

To step it up, I added a greeting from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and punched it out using the Word Window punch. I then layered it on a Modern Label. I also added several Rhinestone Jewels to the flowers, bird and the greeting.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-12368961692081556752013-08-04T15:24:00.000+10:002013-08-04T15:24:52.848+10:00Mosaic Madness
We made this card at my recent launch party. It is CASEd from one of Andrea Walford's cards, a very talented demonstrator from Canada.

It uses the new In-Colours of Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe as well as Whisper White. The stamp sets are Mosaic Madness and Label Love. The punched out greeting was with the coordinating Artisan Label punch (buy this punch and Label Love together and save 15%). The embossing in the background was done using the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-38688271865262129542013-07-28T18:05:00.003+10:002013-07-28T18:05:54.768+10:00Book to Look Cake

I made this card stock "cake" for my launch party that I held lately. Anyone who booked their own party could choose a "slice" and inside was a voucher which they could redeem at their party. I used Very Vanilla card stock, Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and some flower trim. The design of the cake was from a video posted by Sam Donald, a demonstrator in the UK.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-66579058760451376572013-07-27T18:21:00.000+10:002013-07-27T18:21:06.644+10:00Decorated Tea Light

I decorated some battery-operated tea lights and placed them on the tables at my husband's 40th birthday party.

I used Indigo Baby and Pool Party card stock with some Pool Party DSP around the sides. I used three different punches: 1-1/4" Scallop Circle, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle and the small one on top is from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. I also put the small Pearl Basic Jewels on the small circles at the top of each candle. I made about 20 of these.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-74376857676038416482013-07-26T18:44:00.001+10:002013-07-26T18:44:31.353+10:00Wildflower Meadow
The Wildflower Meadow stamp and matching Embossing folder (look closely - you'll notice that the image is raised) make it so easy to make a quick card. I made this one for my husband who recently turned 40. I thought it was appropriate for a male and he seemed to like it. The greeting is from Label Love and was punched out using the coordinating Artisan Label Punch.
I made this card for my niece's First Holy Communion. I love this set and I've used it in similar ways before. In the past, I've used it in blues and pinks, but never in yellows, but I love this combination of So Saffron and Daffodil Delight. I highlighted the darker part of the flower by going over it lightly with my Two Way Glue Pen and sprinkling Iridescent Ice over the top. The Stamp-a-ma-jig is almost essential when using the Stippled Blossoms stamp set, but the results are worth the extra effort.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-72446759651922797462013-06-24T16:57:00.002+10:002013-06-24T16:57:52.374+10:00Saying goodbye to...

This week, I'm saying goodbye to a few items in the retiring list. I will be updating my business website http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/lornacasha/blog daily with different cards or projects made using retiring items. This card uses the retiring colours Bravo Burgundy and More Mustard.
This is page 2 of my layout. I've also used the 5/8" Flower Trim and the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die. The paper flowers and the flower trim were coloured by being spritzed with a mixture of Riding Hood Red Reinker and rubbing alcohol.

We made this card at last month's Stamp-a-Stack. It uses 4 of the retiring colours: Pretty In Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and River Rock. The Designer Series Paper is from the Subtles Paper Stack. The focal point is the Quint-Essential flower which co-ordinates with no less than 5 different punches (I only used 3 for this card, but the possibilities are endless). The greeting is from That's The Ticket and was punched using the co-ordinating Ticket Duo Builder Punch. The focal image for this card was made using the Faux Embossing Technique. No embossing involved - just some White Craft Ink and Early Espresso Ink. I've used the Forever Young and Petite Pairs stamp sets, with Whisper White, Early Espresso and Pretty In Pink card stock. Punches used are Large Oval and Scallop Oval. I also added a Basic Jewel Rhinestone for some bling. You also need a stamp-a-jig for this technique.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-23122909757502364632013-05-23T11:53:00.001+10:002013-05-23T11:53:42.885+10:00Unconvention challenge 1

Some demonstrators who were unable to attend Convention this year decided to hold our own cyber event called Unconvention. The first challenge was posted this morning and it was to do a water-themed scrapbooking page using the recipe of 4 photos, 3 colours, 2 embellishments and 1 Designer Series Paper (DSP).

My 4 photos are of Monaco's sea coast and I highlighted the title using some Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle. My 3 colours are Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.
My 2 embellishments are some Flower Trim dyed in Riding Hood Red Ink and 3 Large Basic Rhinestones.
My 1 DSP is from Twitterpated.

I used the Hearts frame-lit dies to die cut the central photo. The idea for this layout came from Paper Crafter's Library, although they used different DSP and a very different colour scheme. I've used the Summer Smooches DSP and used Island Indigo card stock to matt the background page and the centre piece of DSP. Other card stock I used is Lucky Limeade and Whisper White. The buttons are from the Naturals Designer Buttons and I've threaded them using Early Espresso Bakers Twine.

I really love the way this card turned out. It has such a whimsical feel. I wanted to use the beautiful two-tone ribbon from the current seasonal catty, so I used the colours in that - Pink Pirouette and Rose Red. Stamp sets used are Petite Pairs and Papillon Potpourri. Punches are Large Oval, Scallop Oval and Bitty Butterfly. I've added some basic jewel pearls to the butterflies and the sentiment.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-50278959125633266972013-05-01T16:54:00.001+10:002013-05-01T16:56:47.527+10:00This and ThatThis and That will be available from 1 July 2013 with the new annual catalogue, but you can purchase the whole bundle between now and 31 May 2013.
I have fallen head over heels for the All Dressed Up bundle. A card comes together in a flash when a beautiful dress is on the front. The fabric I've used, Summer Smooches is perfect for showing off this bundle. I've also used the That's The Ticket stamp set and the Ticket Duo Builder Punch for the greeting, which looks great with a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel on it. The stamp on the base of the card is from the Bright Blossoms stamp set, which co-ordinates beautifully with the fabric.

In my next class on Saturday, we will be making a card very similar to this one. I still have some spots left, so contact me if you would like to attend.Lorna Cashahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08263599866709659433noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8990223361726286119.post-5855170593270225362013-04-19T14:02:00.000+10:002013-04-19T14:02:01.124+10:00Family

This is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking. It was so quick and easy. I used the free 30-day trial version of My Digital Studio and it only took me about 5 minutes. I still enjoy real card stock, stamps and ink, but this was fun too.
